Jon Helminiak with his friend and Academy Award winning movie producer Walter Mirisch. In 1994, Jon recorded a 30 minute exclusive interview with Mirisch in his Hollywood office where Mirisch recalled producing films such as "In the Heat of the Night", "West Side Story", "Hawaii Five-O" and "The Apartment".

A short documentary video of the Hmong pilots of the U.S. Secret War is Laos and the T-28 aircraft project dedicated in their honor at the Aviation Heritage Center of Wisconsin. Jon is the project's founder and director.
